I met this guy 30 years ago, not long after I moved to Brisbane, and we have backed each other up (literally) ever since. He was there for my first shift of security, and there for my last.
But in between all of that, and especially in the last 10 years, he has been on a quest. A quest to leave something behind for his children, and do everything he can, no matter how small it may be in the grand scheme of things, by way of educating, and leading environmental missions as part of Sea Shepherd Australia.
It is an amazing journey, and the way he sends his message is not with talk, it is with action. As I always say, influence over authority.
Grahame Lloyd is a father, a mate, and these days more than ever, a crusader.
